Ki control
Tagoma punching bag
He also increased his first form vastly as a result increasing his max output and eventually unlocking his golden form.
So he pushed his<1% to beyond super saiyan level
I also assume he blew up a few planets for the Hell of it

We've now seen all we're gonna see of Freeza's training, and evidently it was so good that he could spend time leaning how to hold back in addition to raising his power level.

What do you think happened with Freeza and Tagoma?
Do you feel it was a good move to only show that little bit of training?
"holding back" and raising powre level is just ki control and he had no problem with since forever.

personally i dont really care what he did and i dont know and dont want to know. too much knowledge of the past of him will just make him seem like like some kind of good guy. after all everyone lost someone or had some sort of tragedy. i dont want to think "goku dont kill him", i want to think "goku, kill that mofo".

We know all about Dio and his morbid past where his father beat him. The f***er still deserves to die however, and at no point did I root for Dio. Freeza is the same way, besides considering part of that training is him torturing Tagoma I can't imagine we'll be like "NOOOOOOO! NOT FREEZA!" Even if they did show his sad life story.

And I know that's another thread, but having a villain you can sympathize with can be great, Nox is easily among my favorite villains because of his rather sympathetic nature. I mean I guess he's technically an anti-villain but still.

Freeza's problem does not lie in backstory, he has enough personality to make up for it and has the distinction of being the first of the DBZ villains to be like that. Just because the later villains ripped him off isn't too bad

Wait, which villains ripped off Freeza?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Wait, which villains ripped off Freeza?
Super Beerus is one often brought up.

Cooler and Cell for one. Cell is slightly different from Freeza, but let's be honest, the majority of his personality traits can be found in Freeza as well.

But wasn't that the point? Cell was made out of many people and showcased several personality traits from them, not just Freeza.

And with Cooler, I think it's pretty obvious why he is so similar to Freeza. Heck, all of those that are related to Freeza's species have the exact same personality traits.
